The game
Rewards & halving
The network pays 1.25 $MINER every second, split between all miners by hashrate. The rate halves every 97 days.
Your share
Every second's emission goes to whoever is mining at that moment, in proportion to hashrate:
your reward per second = emission × your hashrate ÷ network hashrate
The program tracks this with a single running total (the same accumulator MasterChef farms use), so it costs the same to claim whether you have mined for a minute or a month. Rewards are exact to the second; there are no blocks to wait for.
Example
Halving schedule
Emission halves every 8,400,000 seconds (about 97 days) and stops for good once 21,000,000 $MINER have been paid out. Half of the whole budget goes out in the first era.
| Era | Rate | Per day | Paid this era | Paid in total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.25/s | 108,000 | 10,500,000 | 10,500,000 (50%) |
| 2 | 0.625/s | 54,000 | 5,250,000 | 15,750,000 (75%) |
| 3 | 0.3125/s | 27,000 | 2,625,000 | 18,375,000 (87.5%) |
| 4 | 0.1563/s | 13,500 | 1,312,500 | 19,687,500 (93.8%) |
| 5 | 0.0781/s | 6,750 | 656,250 | 20,343,750 (96.9%) |
| 6 | 0.0391/s | 3,375 | 328,125 | 20,671,875 (98.4%) |
What APR means here
The APR shown on each miner is its net $MINER per year, after electricity, divided by its price in $MINER, at today's emission and network hashrate. It is a snapshot, not a promise: it falls as more hashrate joins and at every halving, and it says nothing about the token's price.
